A Bird of Paradise Wedding is Unique!
| We strive to produce an event that is fresh, cutting edge, and
entertaining. No warmed-over unidentifiable entrees swimming in sauce - we promise! Our
specialty is fresh food, grilled just before service, and served at the peak of flavor. We
can offer you a "plated" meal, served to your seated guests, or you may opt for
a buffet set-up. In addition to a traditional buffet, Bird of Paradise has pioneered a
system of multiple "mini-buffets" which we call "Stations". The
stations set-up allows us to maximize service and improve the "flow" of your
guests, as well as offering an enticing and entertaining presentation. Generally, weddings
begin with Our Sun Tea and Ginger Lemonade table, allowing guests a chance to refresh
themselves prior to the ceremony. A selection of "displayed" and
"passed" hors d' oeuvres combined with partial or full bar service immediately
follows the ceremony. The main meal follows, with cake cutting towards the end of the
party, a service always included in a Bird of Paradise wedding! |

Oyster Bar: A
generous offering of the freshest oysters complete with a chef-to-shuck and all the
condiments!
Crudite: A lovely presentation of the
freshest local vegetables, with specials from Chef Jon's garden; served with a fresh herb
dip.
Quesadilla Bar: A great favorite! A
chef standing by to melt cheeses, meats and vegetables into flour tortillas; careful,
they're hot!
Winery Cheese Display: A selection of
fine cheeses accompanied by breads and crackers, and garnished with fresh fruit.
Especially nice with a wine bar.

Blue Chip Prawns: A
grilled prawn nestled in fresh guacamole on a blue corn chip.
Onion Tarts: Bite-sized phyllo tarts
filled with caramelized onion and delicate custard.
Vietnamese Spring Rolls: Noodles,
tangy sauce and crisp vegetables, wow!
Crab Cakes: We make these from the
best crab meat, lightly breaded and toasted.
Sausages: the finest apple-smoked
sausages from Corralitos, served with mustard.

Spinach: Fresh
spinach tossed with crumbled pepper bacon and sweet & sour vinaigrette.
Classic Caesar: Romaine, parmesan,
croutons, luscious dressing & anchovies.
Greek: Greens, Kalamata olives, Feta
cheese, cucumbers & tomatoes, lemon & olive oil.
Tomato Platter: Ripe tomatoes,
mozzerella and fresh basil, dressed with balsamic.
Artichokes: Poached and then grilled,
served with fresh aioli.

Tri-Tip: Marinated and then
grilled to perfection, served with fresh homemade salsa.
Salmon: Fresh filets grilled over
mesquite and served with creamy pesto sauce.
Ahi Tuna: Served rare off the grill
with fruit salsa.
Rack of Lamb: Herb-crusted and
roasted, served with toasted almond-mint sauce.
Chicken Breast: Mesquite-Grilled and
served with Shitake mushroom-tarragon sauce.
All entrees are served with a spectacular array of grilled vegetables.
Flavorful bread options:
Focaccia: Topped
with garlic and rosemary, olive oil and spices.
Garlic Bread: French bread seasoned
with butter and garlic and then grilled.
Chiobaggia: Italian

Our prices "per guest" include linens & glassware, china &
flatware, top-notch staff, cutting & serving your cake, and tea & coffee. We also
offer several different beverage packages, to suit every need. In addition, we offer an
array of special wedding services to customize your day. We can provide box lunches to
feed the band, beautiful calligraphy menus, sandwiches & sodas for the wedding party
prior to the ceremony, votive candles for your tables, or how about lavender shortbread
heart cookies? A "to go" basket for the bride & groom?
