Turn of the Century Cocktail Parties

At Bird of Paradise, we take great joy in collecting the freshest of local products and presenting them in an artful way. One of the options we offer is a selection we call "the Bounty of The Central Coast". Imagine a large round table, draped and overflowing with a fragrant and flavorful display including:
bulletArtichokes from Castroville, poached and marinated, cascading from a wooden crate and served with miso dip
bulletMelons, berries, grapes, and other fruits beautifully laid out on platters
bulletA medley of colorful vegetables from the Salinas Valley presented in a basket with fresh herb dip, garnished with organic "specials" from Jon's garden
bulletRoasted garlic from Gilroy, served with sliced baguettes and olive oil
bulletOur homemade "Caponata", A traditional Italian relish of eggplant redolent with wine, olives & garlic, served with crostini
Cocktail Party
Cocktail Party & Flowers Bird of Paradise also offers a large selection of hors d' oeuvres, hot or cold. These may be presented on a buffet table or "Butler Passed" by servers with trays. A small sample of our selection follows:

bulletCrostini with Crab and Brie
bulletMushrooms Stuffed with Prosciutto and Feta Cheese

We can also set up "Performance Stations", our system of mini-buffets. These are especially helpful when you have a large party, as they improve service and flow. Here are a few examples:

bulletExotic Mushroom Hunt, an opportunity to taste a variety of domestic and imported mushrooms
bulletArtichokes, 5 Ways, poached, grilled, marinated, etc.
bulletFajita Grill, spiced chicken & beef with peppers and onions, grilled to order and served with tortillas
bulletPasta Plenty, a variety of pastas to mix & match with different sauces

If you have a more substantial meal in mind, but have limited seating, please proceed to our "Multi-Course Stand-Up Dinner" menu, listed under "Company Dinners". This menu includes 6 courses, all "Butler Passed" and designed to be "Fork Friendly"!
